Peter Wight
Peter Wight’s illustrious career spans stage, television and film. Work at the National Theatre includes: London Tide, The Red Lion, Ivanov, Sleep With Me, Murmuring Judges, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, Black Snow, and Waiting for Godot.
Peter has performed numerous starring roles at the RSC, notably Hamnet in Stratford-upon-Avon and at The Garrick. His extensive theatre work includes appearing in the West End and at the Almeida, the Donmar, and across the UK.
In the US, Peter starred in Hamlet and Oresteia at the New York Armory, and in The Seagull on Broadway.
On TV, Peter is best known for his role as policeman Nige in Early Doors, and appearances too numerous to list in full: among others, The Crown, Alan Partridge, Our Mutual Friend, and Persuasion.
Peter is widely recognised for his role in Hot Fuzz, and has extensive film credits, including Pride and Prejudice, Atonement, and, with Mike Leigh: Another Year, Mr Turner, Vera Drake, Naked, Secrets and Lies and Meantime.
